Thank you for a fantastic evening at Matbah. That’s one of the top
restaurants in Istanbul. During our 4 day stay in Istanbul we have
dined at 2 restaurants, one was in Bosphorus called Sunset, the
other one was Matbah in Sultanahmet. Both were fabulous, we have
tasted delicious examples of Turkish cuisine, top quality service
and perfect atmosphere. I will honestly recommend Palace to all my
friends.

Without doubt Matbah offer a vibrant ambiance within the stylish
Ottoman palace cuisine as described on the web site. We could not
expect such delicious meals matching & suiting our local taste. The
chef was a great person who shared his experiences and advices with
us, we’ll make use of them, that’s for sure. Thanks for an
unforgettable evening in the heart of historical Istanbul.

Palace is a perfect restaurant to experience the traditional Turkish
food. The ambiance is unique, you feel yourself like in a secret
garden in the centre of the old city decorated richly and friendly.
That’s more than a restaurant, a place where you can relax, enjoy
the mystic atmosphere of Istanbul and chat with your friends for
hours. We are looking forward to dining at Matbah, unfortunately
that won’t be earlier than next year.

I’m not used in writing reviews, but I could not keep myself from
doing so this time. I’m so impressed with Matbah Restaurant that it will be
hard for me to explain my thoughts. The ambiance is unusual, the
atmosphere is fantastic, the music is relaxing, the service is
professional and the meals & wine are beyond imagination. What
would I expect more ? I do recommend Matbah to every visitor in
Istanbul. You should not leave this city without tasting the great
Ottoman food served in Palace and enjoy the ambiance supported with
historical surroundings.

Good restaurant in a good location. In the centre of the old city,
right beside the famous Hagia Sophia Museum and the historical
handicraft centre built in the 16th century. Good
service, good food (Ottoman style traditional cuisine), good wine
and good atmosphere. Thanks for everything ! We have enjoyed a
memorable evening which we’ll never forget !
